Not bad at all

Bought this to replace a 40 year old dial wall mount phone. Mounted directly to the old mount, no problem.The buttons could be better lighted. The middle ones are bright and the outer ones are less so.Ringer high/low and off will be usefull. Looks pretty good hangin on the wall too.Number memory, handset volume control, and all the other features it has are also an improvement from the old one it's replaced.

Good phone for older people with hearing problems

I purchased this phone because I saw it on a web site advertised as an amplified phone. The hand set has a high low switch, and on high a person who can't hear well can hear the other person on the line well. It is advertised as 40db on this setting. The push buttons are bigger too. I didn't give it 5 stars because the wire coming out of the phone that you plug into the jack is only 6" long. I had to open up the phone, cut off the 6" wire, and solder a 15 foot phone wire to it. Also had to drill a slot on the bottom for the new wire to come out from so the phone will be flush on the wall. The ringer, even set on high, isn't all the loud. The other odd thing is that the phone I received is called 'Unical', not 'Future Call'. But it looks like the same phone pictured.

It seemed to work okay, but it was annoyingly loud in your ear, even when set on Low. I returned it.
