A good two line phone
By James Caron
After A power surge finally killed my Siemans two line phone system, I set out to get a replacement. Let's face it, most cordless two line systems are not very good. Cross talk, noise, overall quality generally seems to be the rules when trying to find a two line system (unless you want to pay a fortune that is). I did not want to pay for another expensive system. After rooting around the reviews and features of the various two line offerings, I settled on this ATT model. After using it for a while, I am quite satisfied with my purchase. the sound is clear, with little to no noise or interference. it is loaded with good, practical features and even let's you use a bluetooth headset, a big plus for me. I like it and I would buy another again if I had to.

RECORDS ALL "HANG-UP" PHONE CALLS
By Ed
Beautiful phone with all the features you'd ever want. Except one ** DEAL BREAKER ** for me.Our company receives many phone calls a day in which the caller hangs up during the recorded greeting of the answering machine. This phone cannot recognize a hang up, and proceeds to record a 5-sec "blank" message. (Yes, it's 2011... and all my previous answering machines of the past 20 years could do this). So we're left to wade through the blank messages and delete (which takes some skill... because your waiting for a voice but must press delete before the next message replays... small window to nail it.)I emailed AT&T and was given a reply to call their tech support. Their answer was "It is the normal behavior of this phone NOT to recognize hang ups." I asked if this could be fixed with a future firmware update... Nope.

The TL86109 is a Great Phone
By Ta
I had some misgivings before I ordered this phone and some handsets. I read (on another site) where some said they could not adjust the volume of the calls, ringer on the base, handset and that bluetooth was problematical. I am happy to report that all of the above is super easy. You do not even have to read the book to learn how to adjust any of the volumes. THe bluetooth is great. It links to my cell phone easily. (I thought there was a minor problem at first when it did not link at about 15 feet but noticed I had forgotten to flip up the antenna on the base -- it links to my cell when it is almost anyplace in the house.) The short answering machine length might be a problem for a business -- it is not a problem for me at all. This phone has exceeded my initial expectations. The very minor flaws that I see are: The controls on the handseet and the base could be more alike; It would be nice to be able to copy a directory entry int another and then edit the content (like from cell to Home); I would like the light to remain on a little longer when you press akey -- like maybe 15 seconds instead of what seems like about 8. If I could have copied a directory entry, I would have given it a 5. It is that close. If you have a business, I would suggest that you may want to get your answering service from your provider and not try to use the one in the phone because of its limited time (14 minutes). This is a great phone for my purpose (home but busy and high tech). Clarity is excellent, noise is non-existent. It will download (per spec) a 1500 record contact list from your wireless phone via bluetooth -- it had no trouble with min of about 500 or so entries. As I said, I had misgivings before, but no longer. This (and the accompanying TL86009 handsets) is great. I am really picky so I gave it only a four -- that really does not do it justice.
