Great phone except for one thing...

I have the whole system with 2 handsets/digital answering machine and a wireless headset. This will expand my system to 3 handsets in the house. No issues with static/clarity, the speakerphone is average and the menu system, to me, is pretty intuitive. One thing I really liked about this system is that one handset can quickly and EASILY mute all handsets and the answering machine in the house for a specified period of time, or off early if you choose...in case you seriously need a nap. Other handsets I looked at, when shopping around, had a complicated way of achieving this (going to each handset to set the mute). The only drawback I found with this system is the method in which to block calls. Another system was so much easier than this, but their "whole-house mute" option was difficult. I'd rather muting the house phones be easier than call blocking, but I'd prefer both to be easy. This is something Uniden could certainly work on; a one-touch call block option from any handset WHILE the call is coming in, or thru the caller ID list. We've had to use a separate accessory to do this before, and we still do, unfortunately. Other than this one inconvenience, this handset and system is great, the range and call clarity is great and battery life is great. Just be sure to go in to each handset initially and set them up the way you like them (HD voice, etc).

Major Disappointment

I can't blame this particular handset for all the foibles of the entire system. Cordless phone system-wise, it's all just a big bucket of rocks. The DECT 6.0 system is supposed to give you clear, static free, sound and a crystal clear listening experience. This Uniden system missed the boat. Why would I buy an additional handset for such a miserable system? To complete the set, that's why. So, I now have lousy cordless phones spaced evenly throughout my house, so I can have that "bad phone" experience no matter in which room I pick up a handset. I love Uniden, but they've done me wrong. Avoid this lightweight, and get a real phone.
