Very happy customer

I replaced my AT&T E 2125 (that after 8 years still works perfectly, just needs a new battery) with this AT&T CL84200 system and so far could not be more pleased with the purchase. If you have owned AT&T phones with digital answering machine before, the menus and settings will be very familiar to you.So far I have not had any of the issues that some customers have had.Some complained about the volume on the wireless handsets. I had to turn the volume to the lowest setting when talking with my son, and my hearing isn't the best.Some complained about d.o.a. items. Everything I received was in new, unopened factory packaging, and in perfect working condition.One complained about not enough ring tones. It had the same ring tone I've been using on my old AT&T phone, so I'm good to go. And so you know, there are 10 to choose from.Talk about easy setup. After reading the quick start guide, I plugged in the handsets and let them charge for a couple hours before setting up the base (quick start guide recommends at least 30 minutes). As soon as I plugged in the base, the handsets auto-registered as handset 1 and 2. I am really pleased that the system can (and did) automatically set the time/date from caller ID.I was very happy to see that when someone calls that is in my directory, it shows the name I set in the directory instead of the regular caller ID name. I love that you can pretty much do anything (listen to/delete messages, enter/edit numbers into the phone directory, and change some settings too) from any phone on the system and it automatically updates the other phones.If I ever find anything I don't like about this system or if anything goes wrong, and that's not likely from what I've seen so far, I'll post an update.Hope it helps

What an Up-Grade!!

We were using a phone from 13 years ago, so this one is exception in its usage. There is no trouble in dialing as there was in our old phone, so that is an upgrade from the get-go. The answering machine is clear and you can hear all the details of each message. that is a huge help in our business. I wish I would have done this years ago!!!

I would recommend this phone, its a great product for the price. The 2 handsets are nice to have, because I miss place one all the time like the remote control!!
