Wonderful Phone -Worth the Price

I have used AT&T cordless phones since they became available. When the company stopped making the "talking caller ID." feature, I was disappointed. The feature is now back along with the 6.0 Detect. The "talking" feature isn't as good as the original had been, the pronunciation of words is not as clear and at times difficult to understand. Once you hear it for a while it gets easier to understand, but I think it could be improved because the original talking ID was a lot better. That said, I use it as a feature and it does help when your at a distance from the phone or have your hands full with something else etc.The handsets are a bit longer than other companies offer, this makes holding them easier, especially when you must place it between your ear and shoulder to free up both hands. The handsets are very comfortable to hold and feel solid, yet not too heavy. The volume is great and can be adjusted within a good range for those who need a louder setting. At higher volumes there is no feedback. There is no background noise or static, the sound quality is natural and can also be adjusted to your personal preferences. This phone has many features that make it a real pleasure to use and live with. The large buttons are illuminated, very easy to see and use, even in the dark. The display screen is clear, easy to see and also illuminated. All handsets have speaker phone and intercom. Speed dialing and the phone book make it easy to quickly call your most used numbers. The batteries charge up quickly and last for hours of talk and days of standby time. There are more features that I haven't mentioned, take the time to read the handbook to explore all the other features and the answering system it has.I would recommend this phone system for anyone that wants a good sounding phone with many features, that make it a pleasure to use. I gave it 4 stars only because the "Talking Caller ID" could be better.

Love the phones

Bought these after having a very BAD experience with a set of Panasonic phones. Love the talking caller ID but was disappointed that the speaker phone feature DOES NOT work from the main base. Bummer! Decent sound quality and they are light weight. Wish they came with belt clips so I could carry them around the house easier. Overall a good buy!

Att&T Dect 6.0 Cordless Phone system

Perhaps we purchased a defective system. But the key pads would stick and many times it would not dial out. Often we dialed 3 numbers and then a loud ton would not stop. I have returned the product. .....purchased a 2nd set from At&t direct...and they are the same. I think At&t has a problem. I do not like their current phones and for the price, they should not be giving all this trouble.
