AT&T Cordless Phone set
By Jazz Lover Craig
This is the 3rd AT&T set that we have purchased over ten years. The last two times were because of the DECT 6.0 technology. This most recent purchase was because they finally brought back "TALKING CALLER ID" which we had two purchases ago on the old 5.8 technology. The last set they removed TCID to save cost. Now it's back, but the lady robot sounds like she's from a 3rd world country, and just learning English...but no one has trained "her" to use normal pronunciation, so she does the best she can. Also she doesn't start talking until after the 2nd of 4 rings, leaving us little time to get up and answer. Lastly, they removed the handy (sturdy) belt clip that we had gotten used to. You could put it on speaker and clip it to your pocket or t-shrt collar and be hands-free!

AT&T DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System with Talking Caller ID and Digital Answering System
By Jabby
This was a Christmas gift for my mom in 2011. I bought it especially for the talking caller ID which she loves and I was unable to find on any other cordless phone. It's still holding up and works really well despite several drops and handsets having gotten water spilled on them.I did hear some complaints about the caller ID history not saving many names before erasing itself, but I haven't had time to actually investigate what's happening there. And, as another reviewer pointed out, the caller ID doesn't start talking until the 2nd ring which can get really annoying and you find yourself just checking the display instead of waiting for it to talk. Still a good quality phone overall.

Works well except Caller ID announce
By S. M. Quitadamo
Phones are great. Work very well. Clear reception. East to set up speed dial and easy to use Caller ID. Two issues, one is that out of area code calls cannot be dialed via Caller ID because it does not add the 1+. And the Called ID voice does not pronounce any words correctly. Bank of America is pronounces B-anik of Ameria. Simple words like salon, are pronounced sah-lynn. The problem has to do with improper voice speed, syllable and accent handling. It's really annoying and the AT&T website says if you don't like it you can turn it off... Love that kind of support (not). Like the other reviews, the Caller ID also does not announce until the second ring. Not a big deal but they need to fix the pronunciation of words. Most comical, it pronounces AT&T, at-tee.
