Great phone

I love this phone. I bought the base/phone then I bought extra handsets to put in various rooms throughout the house. This phone is great because I live in a two story house and I got tired of yelling upstairs or downstairs for the kids to come here or to do something that they are supposed to do. You can page handset to handset which is so convenient because I call up using my handset to my son's room all the time to come down for dinner instead of having to yell up there. I can also check my messages from any handset instead of listening to it at the base. I can also save numbers in the directory with one phone and it auto syncs so that all other handsets will have the same information. Something else convenient is that all handsets have speakerphone on them. Another great thing is that if someone calls and you want to screen the message before answering, you don't have to go to the base to listen to it because you can push a button on any handset to screen it and you can hear the caller leaving a message right there from the handset and if you decide to pick up then you can do so my pushing the talk button. I haven't found a reason to complain about these phones yet. I've had them for only 2 months and haven't had any problems so far.

It works well, simple set up.

It comes with a charger base. It was easy to set up to work through the main base/answering machine. It does not require a phone line, only needs an outlet. It is certainly cheaper to buy the main base/phone that includes a 2nd phone, but I wasn't thinking far enough ahead! I decided to add this later for another room.

at&t cordless phones

we are pretty well satisfied with these phones, but they are not compatible with some hearing aids. Mine, for instance,squeel terribly, so that I cannot hear what is being said. It's fine with the speaker phone, but that isn't always desirable
