No more messing with the cradle

This cable connects my Plantronics CS Series Wireless Headset to my Cisco IP Phone so that I don't have to lift the handset off the cradle to get a dial tone or answer a call.The way my phone configuration worked before, to take a call I had to press the button on my headset and then pick up the handset off the cradle and just drop it somewhere on my desk. Then when I was done with the call, I would "hang up" with the handset. Now with this adapter cable, I can just push the button on my headset and the call is automatically answered. Or to place a call, I just press the handset button to get a dial tone and dial the phone as usual.The installation was pretty simple. There's an RJ-45 connector (think of the connector on the end of your Ethernet network cable) and a male audio plug that connect to the headset. The other end should have been easier for me, but it wasn't: the other end is a USB cable and it took me about five minutes to finally find the USB port on my Cisco phone. Once I found the port, I plugged it in and it worked no problem.If your company is going to invest so much in an IP phone and a wireless headphone for you, you might as well request this accessory too, because it's a huge convenience. Now I don't even have to be at my desk to answer a call. If I'm close enough to my phone to hear it ring, I'm well within range to pick up the call with this headset.

Works but expensive

I have a Savi 720, and this allowed me to pick up and end calls via the headset on the Cisco 9971 video phone at work. Product works as expected, but is a bit pricy for just that function.
