Product Description
This AT&T 945 Four-Line Intercom Speakerphone is expandable to a 16 station telephone system. The 945 is compatible with AT&T 974 984 944 955 and 964 telephones.The 945 is hearing aid compatible and can be connected to up to four incoming telephone lines. This phone features a speakerphone for hands-free use and a headset jack compatible with most two-band 2.5mm headsets (sold separately). The 945 allows paging intercom and call transfers between system phones and is capable of connecting three parties in a conference call. This phone also features a 32 number memory for faster dialing.

Great Phone

I bought this phone mainly because I wanted a model that had numerous speed-dialing buttons and a decent speakerphone. Thus far, I am very pleased with the model. The 945 is a 4-line phone designed for office use, but it works great as a home phone. It has 16 speed dial buttons located on the right side of the phone. This makes it a snap to call family and friends by just pushing two buttons - one for speakerphone and one for the number. The speakerphone seems to work well and I also like the green backlit lcd display, which generally looks cool but also makes the phone easy to use in the dark. It also displays the date, time, number dialed, and phone call length, useful for keeping track of how long an interesting (or not) conversation has been going on for. Phone preferences can be set by an easy to use on-screen menu system and there are also a bunch of ring tones to choose from, which I appreciate because I have chosen a lower frequency tone that is so much more pleasant than the typical high-pitched annoying telephone ring my last phone had. Be aware, though, that Caller ID isn't supported on this phone.

User-Friendly Product

Bought two of these phones at work, and we love them. VERY easy to install and use; didn't even have to open the user's manual. The sound is very clear and not muffled at all.One thing I would recommend for those who purchase this phone: turn the "Hold Reminder" feature off. When you're on the other line, and have a call on hold, the reminder beep will cut into your conversation with the other person.Other than that, we love the easy-to-use features of this phone! I would recommend this product to anyone.

Worked for three weeks, and the microphone on the speakerphone died.

This phone worked great for about three weeks, and then yesterday, the microphone on the speaker started to work flakily. It now works less than 25% of the time, and will sometimes cut out in the middle of a call. Additionally, sometimes when I try dialing a number it doesn't register the phone number and will eventually receive an off-the-hook signal. If I hang up and hit redial it will dial fine. The phone also does not have caller id which I would have expected on a phone for this price.
