Terrible phone

I purchased this phone for my 90 year old mother. This phone is terrible! The ring was very low in volume and the volume control button didn't increase the volume at all. The volume for the headset was terrible and the volume control didn't work for that either. The call quality was awful. I sent this phone right back! Also, Amazon gets this phone through ANTonline and they have a terrible reputation as well. I only hope I am able to get my money back from them. Of course with a 15% restocking fee. Don't purchase this phone!

Big buttons, big screen numbers, back-lit LCD....a great phone and easy to see!!!

As I've gotten older, I've found that regular LCD screens with small numbers are just too difficult to see. I spent a lot of time reading feature listings on the phones to ensure the phone had a back-lit screen....and this one fits the bill. The numbers on the LCD screen are 7/16 inch tall which is BIG compared to most other phones. I actually can read the unlit LCD screen....but push any button and the backlight comes on and reading is super wonderful!! Another must have feature for me was an easy-to-see Message Waiting indicator. Some phones have little envelope icon, but I found that too hard to see. This phone diplays a message on the display which reads "MESSAGE WAITING" and in large lettering it is easy to see. Other features of interest were Caller-id and adjustable volume speakerphone. There are other features which are all "icing on the cake" for me. I really like this phone, especially since I can read the screen without difficulty!!3/4/2013 - A small but important update...When you have a voice message waiting, there is a flashing red light on the upper right corner of the phone. You don't even need to look at the screen to see that you have a message!

Great Phone!

I purchased this phone almost a year ago because I needed one that had large, backlit keys (poor eyesight). It also needed to be a speakerphone and be able to work even during power outages. Perfect in all categories! I had purchased various phones from different department stores and ended up returning every one of them. This is the best $70.00 I've ever spent. It's mounted on the side of my computer desk in my bedroom. So whether I'm lying in bed, or working on my laptop, it's within perfect reach OR I can just go hands free. Great Phone!
